Last March 17th marked a milestone as the ImproLANDS Italian Team kick-started the first Theatre Improv Lab!
Taking place in Belforte del Chienti, in the heart of the Macerata province, nestled within the inland areas of the Marche region in central Italy, this workshop was realised thanks to the precious support of the 5 municipalities of the Unione Montana dei Monti Azzurri (Caldarola, Belforte del Chienti, Serrapetrona, Camporotondo di Fiastrone e Cessapalombo).
With the participation of 10 remarkable volunteers from the Marche Civil Protection, hailing from diverse backgrounds and experiences, the Team embarked on a journey dedicated to the safety and well-being of local communities.
The workshop, spearheaded by Accademia 56, focused on authentic listening, a pivotal skill in ensuring effective communication, deciphering emotions, and fostering connection. It also provided a platform for participants to share their first-hand experiences, particularly during the earthquake that hit the area in 1997 and 2016, igniting profound reflections on personal and collective resilience.
The Lab was more than just a gathering; it was a testament to the strength of human connection and solidarity.
